Two new event formats at the Kalaidos Music Academy
Kalaidos Music Academy offers two new event formats from July 2020. It is following the development of using electronic media as a mediation tool and organizes these events via zoom or Skype.
An Apéro with…
“An Apéro with …” is the name of a new project series in which the rector of the Music Academy, Frank-Thomas Mitschke, will be connected with a musical personality from Swiss musical life at an apéro at home in a private atmosphere. For about 20 minutes, both will talk about the music situation in Switzerland, especially about the future chances of young musicians and the challenges they have to face.
Afterwards, participants who are connected via zoom can also ask questions.
Those who are interested can register at music@kalaidos-fh.ch and then receive a zoom invitation in advance. The participation is free of charge.
In these discussions we aim to provide interesting information for prospective musicians, but also details about the background of music life. So far as guests have agreed to participate:
Oliver Schnyder, pianist – Ilona Schmiel, director of the Tonhalle Zurich – Susanne Kübler, music journalist – Michael Haefliger, director of the Lucerne Festival – Michael Clark, director of the Opera Choir Basel – Pierig Escher, artist management consultant IMG Artists.
These events always start at 19.00 and last about 45 – 50 minutes. They are aimed for students at music academies, but also for music teachers and people interested in music in general.
Further information can be found here:
